Have you ever had one of those days where you drag your ass to the box and feel like every rep that you complete is utter torture? Have you ever pulled into the parking lot and looked at the green walls through the garage door in utter disgust? Have you ever felt like you would be better off staying at home and eating ice cream for the night?
If you answered no to all of those questions, you are more than likely lying to yourself. We have all had those moments. But remember those moments are nothing more than a matter of perspective and a decision of mindset.
Coach Ben Bergeron of CrossFit New England has said, “You don’t have to go to the gym. You don’t have to pick up the kids. You don’t have to go to work. You get to.
We all have shitty days. I get it. I have them to. But each and every one of us that walks into and out of the building with bright green walls has made the choice to improve a little bit. We have made the decision to get a little faster, stronger or tougher.
So, I challenge you. I challenge you to smile. I challenge you to change the I have to mindset to the I get to. I challenge you to shut down those natural thoughts on those shitty days. I challenge you to remember that this should be the BEST HOUR OF YOUR DAY. I challenge you to remember that if it ain’t fun, it ain’t worth it.
